One Dead, Five Injured As Building Collapsed In Mumbai’s Bandra

In a tragic accident, at least one person died and five others were injured after part of a building collapsed in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that the wall of a house collapsed at 1.45 am on June 7 in Kherwadi Road area of ​​Bandra East. 17 lives were saved in the rescue operation. It is feared that some more people may be trapped under the debris.

Earlier, Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui informed that relief and rescue operations were underway for those trapped under the rubble after the building collapsed. Many people of the locality came out after hearing the sound of a part of the four-storey building falling in the street. Debris from the building also fell on nearby houses.

28-year-old Riyaz Ahmed has died in this incident. While Noorul Haq Haider Ali Syed was injured. His condition is stable at present.

Apart from this, those injured include Salman Ateeq Khan, Rahul Mohan Khot, Rohan Mohan Khot and Lata Mohan Khot.

In fact, it is raining continuously in Mumbai, due to the rain, firefighters engaged in relief and rescue work are also facing a lot of trouble. Firefighters are trying to ensure that no more people are trapped under the debris.
